Railways: new freight hub delayed

Ministry of Public Works and Transportation announced that construction on Cambodia’s largest freight rail Copy of IMG_0962station has been postponed until the end of 2010. Samrong is the planned central node for freight shipments on Cambodia’s US $141 million revamped rail project, funded by the Asian Development Bank, the government, AusAID and the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries. Football for Peace 2010

On saturday 29th May home team, Daun Taok A, triumphed 4-2 on penalties over Chum kriel school in Copy of IMG_1200the fourth annual Football for Peace (F4P) tournament. Undeterred by a very uneven rice field surface the 8 teams who took part from various communities around Kampot were at times, ecstatic, and it underlined the dire situation in which there is currently zero public budget for sports in Cambodia. We hope this can change..
