Conference Summary: Foreign Investment and Urban Growth in Cambodia

STT organized a conference titled "Foreign Investment and Urban Growth: Navigating Inequality and Vulnerability in Rural and Urban Cambodia," on the 25th November 2024 at the Sun and Moon hotel, bringing together experts and practitioners from different backgrounds to discuss housing challenges and solutions for Cambodia's vulnerable populations, notably those at risk of eviction. Community members from different urban poor communities around Phnom Penh and in rural areas were also present, as well as young Cambodian students interested in the housing sector and human rights. The objective of the conference was to reunite key stakeholders, from the private sector, academia, and NGOs, along with community members who are directly affected by development projects and in urgent need to seek resolutions.
